John Hart's 'Last Child' wins Edgar Best Novel

Last night, The Mystery Writers of America announced the winners of the annual Edgar Awards, at their 64th Gala Banquet in New York City.

The winners are:

Best Novel: The Last Child by John Hart (Minotaur)

Best First Novel: In the Shadow of Gotham by Stefanie Pintoff (Minotaur)

Best Paperback Original: Body Blows by Marc Strange (Dundurn Press)

Best Critical Biography: The Lineup: The World's Greatest Crime Writers Tell the Inside Story of Their Greatest Detectives edited by Otto Penzler (Little, Brown)
